Kia Soul Keeps You Safe

The majority of the vehicles sold feature the larger 2.0-liter four cylinder that produces 142 horsepower plus 137 pound feet of torque. There are four trim levels for the 2011 Kia Soul; the base Soul, Soul+, Soul!, and Soul Sport. You will find the larger engine on the top three trim levels and the majority of drivers admit to preferring the automatic transmission when compared to the performance you get from the manual gearbox.

The largest buying power right now comes from the Baby Boomers because they are the largest demographic in our country. Plus, people who are close to retirement age have far more money to spend at Mercedes Dealer Virginia than your average young buyer. Some might argue that young shoppers are the ones to target because they are more influenced by peer pressure and the media to have the latest and greatest technology, but the bottom line is that most of the younger shoppers can’t afford the vehicles from MD Mercedes Dealers. You are a member of the Baby Boomer generation if you were born between 1946 and 1964, and it is estimated that there are about 77 million members of this generation. It has already been shown that in 2010 shoppers over the age of 50 spent about $87 billion on vehicle purchases while the crowd under 50 years old only spent $70 billion. The older generation groups want to be comfortable in their vehicles but they also car about what type of car they are driving. Despite the sheer numbers for the Baby Boomers’ buying power, we still see auto makers advertising for the younger crowd. Perhaps no one wants to see someone with gray hair on their television commercial or they might fear that the group of young buyers they do have would be turned off knowing that the vehicle they are driving is also popular with their parents or grandparents. It will be interesting to see how the advertisements continue to change as auto makers are realizing that they are ignoring their largest target audience and leaving money on the table, so to speak.

As we near the end of 2010, it is fun to look back and think about all the quality cars that were produced. 2010 Car Sales Still Down From 2007;
Saturday, October 16th, 2010Sales for 2010 vehicles in the United States is better than 2009 but still down from 2007. Vehicles sold in the United States have had a rough past few years since the economy tanked in late 2008. Yuma Nissan Dealerships and other dealerships have seen fewer sales than they have seen in the years between 2000 and 2007. Consumer confidence has been low and the availability of credit has been minimal at best. Santa Ana Toyota Dealers have been selling more models with recent measures. Recent new measures have expanded credit to some more customers, but credit for auto loans and other types of credit remains difficult to obtain unless a person has a good credit score. However, some places like Pittsburgh Bad Credit Auto Loan offer loans to people with less than perfect credit.
Car industry analysts are not sure how the next three months of the year will pan out. Many are predicting that there will be 11 to 11.5 million sales for 2010. Most previously predicted that there would be 12.2 million sales before September, however the rate of sales has been lower than expected, and it would take a large surge of sales toward the end of the year for this to happen. 2007 was the last year for 9 consecutive sales years of 16 million or more vehicles.
The large drop off from this number was certainly not expected, and as a result the auto industry was hit hard as many other industries were. However, the White House has noted that the auto industry has showed resilience to this recession, and that many jobs that were lost were regained in the United States at the Big Three. Sales in 2007 were 16.2 million and for this year’s estimate of 11.5 million, that number would be 29 percent below that. It would probably take several years to reach those numbers again, and no one is expecting the auto industry to reach those numbers anytime soon.
Scion Sales Are In a Slump

What used to be a really popular car has left its loyal fans disappointed and wanting more. Scion was introduced back in 2004 as a cheaper and more hip version of Toyota. There may be tons of Ford Discounts Hampton right now, but Scion needs to remember that and focus their efforts on returning to what made them popular in the first place; their quirky design. Given the popularity among young drivers, hopefully too many didn’t wreck their cars; you can always turn to Collision Center Renton if you did!
Just like Lincoln Body Service in Millville is known for their relatively affordable luxury vehicles, Scion is known for producing affordable and unique vehicles. This marketing tactic really appeals to the younger drivers who don’t want a basic boring sedan to drive but also don’t have an excess of money to spend. The original Scion was the boxy xB; it was soon copy-catted by the Nissan Cube and Kia Soul. But, for the first two years of Scion’s life, their sales were soaring. Perhaps once the newness of the Kia Soul fades away the Scion brand will be able to resume its spot in the limelight.
Currently, there are three cars in the line up; xD, xB, and tC. The tC makes up 40% of the total sales for the brand, and its sports car design is relatively timeless. As Toyota dealerships go above and beyond usual efforts to try to sell the Scion vehicles on their lots, they are hoping that some new inventory and design might help their efforts. The eco-conscious Scion iQ will be released in Spring of 2011 and is a larger version of the Smart ForTwo, but manages to carry a third passenger in the backseat. Scion really needs to stick with what they know and return to their unique designs that made them popular in the first place.

The next time you go car shopping you are going to notice a common trend; the vehicles seem to be getting smaller! Of course Vineland Ford still offers their popular Explorer line up, but the Ford Escape and hybrid model are gaining popularity in sales as people decide they want something that is a bit easier on the wallet and the environment. It is a rule of thumb, for the most part, that the smaller the car the less fuel it will use. It goes without saying that this rule does not apply to high sport performance vehicles. There is a great selection of fuel efficient cars from Philadelphia Hyundai, and the Hyundai brand name has gained a reputation for quality and high resale value.
For buyers that don’t want to pay full sticker price on a brand new car, they should go to a dealership like Salt Lake City Used Cars. There are plenty of options there that won’t break the bank. More and more manufacturers are turning their attention towards creating a great small car. The current compact leader is the Honda Fit. Drivers love the little extras that auto brands are putting into their vehicle. Even the base model Chevy Aveo has an auxiliary jack but no CD player; who listens to CDs anymore anyways?

KIA Motor Company and Ford Motor Company have both issued recalls for safety reasons. Ford Motors has issued their recall in 21 states, The District of Columbia, and Canada. KIA has issued the recall world wide, and this recall is on more then just one model of their vehicles. Also make sure you check out Boston Infiniti Dealers for all of there amazing deals.
Ford Motor Company has issued a recall for the Windstar van (1992-2003). This Ford vehicle is no longer in production, but it has been proven that in areas where road salt is more common that it can cause corrosion. This corrosion can cause a crack in the rear axle. This crack can lead to unsafe driving problems, and this recall is also cost free to the customer. The repairs can be made at any local ford dealership, and if the vehicle’s rear axle can not be reinforced Ford will provide a rental vehicle free of charge until the rear axle is replaced. Please keep in mind this recall is not for every Windstar van.
KIA Motor Company has also issued a recall on their vehicles. This recall is issued for safety problems with the wiring in the KIA Soul and the KIA Sorento. The wiring problem could lead to a car fair. This recall is issued world wide, and already more then 56,000 vehicles have been recalled. The KIA Soul was the fastest moving model of the KIA line up, and now many believe that KIA does not have any more support.
TV Car Commercial Songs

Ever see a TV car commercial and wonder what the song was? I have and I know you have too! The song may be catchy, a great cover or for whatever reason you have to know the song and probably run out to buy it. I’ve searched myself for these songs and had a hard time hunting them down. Therefore, I’ve decided to share my findings with you so we can all stop wracking our brains trying to figure out the song title and artist.
The Hummer TV commercials all feature original song compositions just for the commercials. So you can’t go out and buy the songs but you can buy other songs from those artists. The artists they used are Robot Repair, Birgir Sigurdsson, Owen O’toole, Face the Music, Fluid and Duotone.
The Sioux City Lincoln TV car commercials do have popular songs that you can even download from the Lincoln website. The 2010 Lincoln MKT has Under The Milky Way by Sia. The 2010 Lincoln MKS Burnin’ For You performed by Shiny Toy Guns. Major Tom performed by Shiny Toy Guns is on the 2010 Lincoln MKZ commercial. The Lincoln full line commercial features Twilight Zone performed by CSS.
Kia’s 2010 Super Bowl commercial features “How You Like Me Now” by The Heavy. The Kia Forte commercial uses Cha Cha! by Super Sonic Jets. That commercial song was pretty hard to find. Kia Spectra uses Can’t Get It Right Today by Joe Purdy. The Sioux City Kia Soul has a few commercials with different songs. The songs are “Do What You Do” by Marz featuring Pack and Mummiez, “Junkyard” by The Potbelleez, “Fort Knox” by GoldFish and “Colours” by Calvin Harris. You can actually download all four of these songs by going to the Kia Soul website. Kia Optima uses “Koop Islands Blues” by Koop.
Cadillac has a few commercials out with popular songs in them. The annual year end event commercial uses “Better Day” by Black Iris Music. The Sioux Falls 2010 Cadillac SRX commercial uses “1901″ by Phoenix. The Cadillac Escalade used “Age of Consent” by New Order.
Hyundai TV commercials with songs have also driven many crazy trying to identify the song used. The Iowa City Hyundai Genesis song is “Redefining Automation” by In:Aviate and another commercial has “FOL (Feel Our Love)” by Smashing Pumpkins. The Hyundai i30 features Koop’s song “Come to Me”.
Using popular music, or songs that can be purchased by consumers, in TV car commercials is a terrific idea because the video of the commercial goes viral with everyone trying to figure out the catchy song. Plus it helps the musicians who get more exposure and more sales for their music.
Understanding Autocheck Vehicle History Reports

When you go to buy a used car such as one from a Sandstone car dealer, you should really get a vehicle history report on the car. This will tell you about the title of the car and if it’s been in wrecks. This is a guide on understanding those reports from AutoCheck.
If your AutoCheck score is low, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad vehicle. The same with high AutoCheck scores. AutoCheck takes into account the age, mileage and other factors associated with that year, make, model of car. You should always compare the score with the score range to get a better idea of the vehicle’s rating. A luxury auto will have a higher score than a compact auto of the same year and mileage. An example of always checking the score range is a Lamborghini Gallardo with a salvage title and half of the vehicle left after a fire. It got a score of 90 because that’s the lowest score that car make/model/year could get. So a score of 5 may be great if the score range for the car is 0 to 5.
If two vehicles have close scores, will the higher score be the better one to buy? Not necessarily. If the cars are of similar model, year and class then check the mileage, car use, repossession, lease history and emissions testing. The score doesn’t check to see if it’s a rare car, collector car or have a cult following in one part of the country such as Iowa City Chevrolet.
If you see on the report “accident or damage reported” don’t automatically cross the car off your list. Even if the Bismarck used car bumped another car it will get this flag on the report. If there is no traffic ticket listed or case number for the incident, then it wasn’t anything major. Any insurance claim, even for a cracked windshield, will show up under the “accident or damage reported” section. So take this section with a grain of salt or more.
Having the report say that the car has a loan or lien record found does not mean the car has a loan or lien currently. It means that at one point in time that was the case. There will be no number of car owners if the car is over 13 years old.
