The Latest on the 2011 Scion Tc

Monday, October 18th, 2010

Need a more fuel efficient car? The 2011 Scion Tc is a good car to consider. Much like the Honda Accord Coupe Chesterfield, the Scion gets 23 city miles per gallon, and 31 highway miles per gallon. With its midranged powered engine, this 2.5 liter engine is now more powerful and fuel efficient. It produces 180 horsepower and 173lb-ft of torque. The Scion Tc can accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in just 7.6 seconds for a manual and half a second less for the automatic. This little car is priced at $19,000 which is better for your wallet than the BMW 328i coupe that you can find at any BMW Burbank near you.

The Scion Tc is very spacious and contains a fair amount of storage space. With the exception of gas mileage, the Tc is close in comparison to the Ford Focus coupe at  Ford dealers near Harrisburg. The Tc is considered to be either the second generation Tc or the ninth generation of the Toyota Celica. It attracts mostly younger buyers with its sporty coupe style. This car is equipped with a new engine and a 6-speed transmission, it has been a sub brand success for Toyota, and best selling Scion of them all. With its unchanged formula and basic structure, the Scion represents 40 years of Toyota’s “single minded pursuit”.

This 2011 Scion is now more comfortable and spacious than any other Scion coupe. Not only does it have a powered moon roof, but now the front seats are wider for more comfort, and has back seats that have the ability to recline up to 10 degrees, or fold down for making your packing needs easier. With its up to date technology, the Tc comes with three available stereo head units and plays through a 300-watt audio system. You can find 8 speakers and a single slot cd/mp3/wma player, and is standard with an aux jack and USB port located on the center console.

As for the appearance of this car, its is a hatch back styled coupe and has a more edgy look than the outgoing models. All though the edgy look pertains more to the back on the rear bumper cover, the front has more of a slightly sloped look, which differs from the older models of Tc’s. The car still rides on the same 106.3 inch wheel base, stretches out to the same 174.0 inches in length and stands the same 55.7 inches tall. The brakes on the Tc include ventilated discs in front, and solid rear discs in the back.
