Environmentally Friendly With Honda and Nissan!

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

Hartford Honda Dealership is now carrying the all new, 2011 Honda Insight.  It was ranked number 24 out of 33 Affordable Small Cars.  It is powered by an Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system, which has an electric motor that creates acceleration power and produces like a generator to charge the battery during braking or coasting.  The Insights four cylinder engine and Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), helps conserve fuel.

The Insight, from Warwick Honda Dealership, comes with a pretty decent protection package.  It consists of three years or 36,000 mile basic warranty and a five year or 60,000 mile powertrain warranty.  Honda also covers the Insights Integrated Motor Assist battery pack with a warranty, but you will have to check with your local dealer to find out the length.  The Insight also did very well on crash tests.  They received five stars in front and side drive crash tests and four stars in front passenger, side rear passenger and rollover two-wheel drive crash tests.  The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Insight it’s highest ranking of “Good” in front offset and side impact crash tests.  It also comes with a long list of safety features.  Some of them include; anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution, multiple threshold front airbags, front side airbags, LATCH, vehicle stability assist and side curtain airbags.

Another environmentally friendly vehicle to check out, would be the 2011 Nissan Leaf, which can be purchased at Worcester Nissan Dealer.  It was ranked number 2 out of 9 Upscale Small Cars.  It comes with a 107 horsepower electric motor that gets it’s power from a 90-kilowatt lithium-ion battery pack.  When the batteries are fully charged, the Leaf is estimated to get 73 miles per charge with climate and driving conditions taken into consideration.  However, as long as you don’t use the heater, the air conditioner and it is great weather outside, the Leaf should get 106/92 miles per charge city/highway.

Nissan has equipped the Leaf with a pretty basic protection package.  It consists of three years or 36,000 mile basic warranty, a sixty year or 60,000 mile powertrain warranty and the lithium-ion battery is covered for ninety six years or 100,000 miles.  There hasn’t been any crash tests done on the Leaf, but it does come with a long list of safety features.  Some of them include; Nissan’s Advanced Airbag System with dual-stage supplemental front airbags, driver and front passenger seat mounted side impact supplemental airbags and roof mounted side impact supplemental airbags.  The Leaf also comes with Vehicle Dynamic Control, Traction Control System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, a tire pressure monitoring system and LATCH.

Both of these vehicles are great for the environment and would be wonderful to own.  Go to your local Honda and Nissan dealership and test drive one or two.  I am sure one of the two places will have exactly what you are looking for.

Every country sets its own car importing and exporting rules. There is no such standard tariff rate and import duty on cars. They differ from country to country. So it is very important for you to choose, from where you want to import your car. There are some basic guidelines which you should follow before you import your car.

Research
The first thing you should decide before you import a street racing car is the model. You should determine the model you want to buy. With the availability of internet, you have thousands of sites providing you with detailed information about street racing cars. All you need to do is intensive research. You must search for the one which suits you the best— budget wise and usage wise. You should compare the prices of the cars within a specific country and among the other countries. This would give you an idea of the lowest price of the car available.

Check Specifications
After you have made your mind on a specific model, check out the standard specification of your car. As specifications vary from country to country, it’s important for you to compare the different specifications of the same car provided by different countries. You should choose the options you want in your car to keep its price comparatively down.

Shop Around
You should always compare the price of your car in multiple dealers within and outside the countries. You should also check for the retail price of the car, the VAT inclusion, discount on order, deposit required and mode of payment. You should also shop around to find out the import tax you have to pay for importing a car from a certain country to yours. If you have all these information in hand, it would be easier for you to import your car from a country from where it costs less.

Additional Costs
You should never neglect the additional costs which are related to your vehicle import. These additional costs include the ferry tickets, hotel, transit plates, fuel and insurance costs. These costs are very much important which determine the total cost of importing your car.

Buying and Importing Your Car
You should select the mode of the payment which is comfortable to both the dealer and you. While you import your car, you should ask for the written conformation of all financial transactions and agreements. You should know your dealer in detail and ask him to arrange for temporary export or transit plates.

After Importing Your Street Racing Car
Once you have got your street racing car, you should get your vehicle registered locally by a vehicle registration office. Some of the paper work included after your car import is certificate of newness, certificate of conformity, temporary registration plates and documents, temporary insurance certificate, invoice of sale. All these documents are to be obtained by your dealer.

How Ridgid Is The Honda Ridgeline?

Sunday, February 27th, 2011

Of course, most vehicles that are produced and manufactured around the globe work well. However, upon meeting the Honda Ridgeline, the views have changed and people have started proclaiming this vehicle as the truck that actually works. This is based on the premise that most of the trucks that roam the streets and country roads are built to perform. However, these trucks are not very much capable of doing all types of work and have not been specifically built to take in various types of cargo without much hassle. This missing link has already been created and it comes in the form of the Honda Ridgeline.  Test drive one today at Kingston Honda Dealership.

What the new Honda Ridgeline has are the essentials that a truck must have. It could do rough road duties that just shows off just how durable this vehicle could be. It is constructed with a certain rigidity so as to withstand the various pressures of being a truck. Its cargo room is quite plentiful and it is entirely versatile so much so that any kind of cargo could be loaded and transported using the Honda Ridgeline. Honda prides itself for the Honda Ridgeline for they have been able to create and design a truck that is the very first and at present the only pick up truck that has received the government crash rating test of five stars for frontal impact tests as well as for side impact tests. This mainly proves that the truck is not only excellent in its duties and responsibilities but it also is outstanding when it comes to providing safety for its passengers which is very important. The chances of this truck doing a rollover are also minute as tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

5000 pounds is the Honda Ridgeline’s towing capacity. Its payload capacity reaches some 1550 pounds. The power comes from a very efficient V6 engine that produces 247 units of horsepower. Agile, efficient, and durable are just a few of the adjectives that describes this remarkable truck. Making dealerships like Chester Ford or Ford Dealership Knoxville very nervous, knowing the reputation Honda carries with the Accord and Civic, they know what they are up against.
