Keep Your Teen Safe!
Friday, January 21st, 2011
Besides buying your teenage driver a car from WI Subaru, there are a few other tips and tricks you can implement to keep them safe. If you are adding a teenager to your insurance policy, then your rates have likely skyrocketed. If you young driver is behind the wheel of their Used Cars KS vehicle and get a ticket or an accident, your insurance premiums are going to go up even more. Plus, we want our children to remain safe while they are driving their Subaru Dealers California car. Despite improved technology and safety features in the newer vehicles, teenage drivers are still four times more likely to be involved in a fatal accident than experienced drivers over the age of 25.
First off, do not be afraid to establish some ground rules with your young driver. Just because they have a license and are sixteen years old does not mean that they have the right to drive. Driving is still a privilege, and setting a curfew can be one of the smartest things done to a teenager. Statistics show that the fatality rate for night driving is twice that of daytime driving for teens. There is limited visibility, young drivers are inexperienced, the roads are often more crowded during rush hour, and in the late evening there are more drunk drivers on the road.
Some additional ground rules might include limiting cell phone use and making sure they wear their seat belt. Texting while driving is a huge no-no, and if your young driver sees you doing it, then they think it is allowed. Parents need to be a good role model and encourage anyone else driving your teenager to do the same. Seat belts are not a suggestion, it is a law to protect your safety. Lastly, make sure your teenage driver is focused on driving not on what is going on around them. Have them switch their phones to silent while they are driving so they won’t be tempted to answer them unless their vehicle comes with Bluetooth.
Nissan Maxima Gets Better With Time
Thursday, January 6th, 2011
There are so many fantastic sedans available over at Syracuse Ford Dealers right now that it is tough to make the right choice. The good news is that plenty of other brands besides American auto companies are making high quality sedans with tons of features. Take, for instance, the 2011 Nissan Maxima. This sedan offers luxury that is perfectly intertwined with family features all wrapped up in an affordable price. Just like at Ford Augusta, you can easily go well above the base price when you add on the packages! However, unlike the vehicles at Honda Dealers Los Angeles, the options for the Maxima are grouped in packages and there are very few individual options that you are able to purchase.
Like previous years, the Maxima comes in two trim levels for the 2011 year; S and SV. All of your optional features are only available on the SV trim level, but even then the highest package comes in at only $36,760. There have been a few minor changes for 2011 and they include some new exhaust tips on all models. Also, if you decide to go with the popular Sport package, you will notice that your headlights are now smoked, your grille is a darker chrome that stands out from the rest of the crowd, and the interior features gray stitching. Not too many changes but enough so that you can tell the difference between the new and the old!
Current Nissan Maxima drivers love the power under the hood and report that they feel like they are driving more of a performance luxury sedan than what you would expect for the price. The 2011 model Maxima comes loaded with nearly 300 horsepower, which is quite a bit more than you average family sedan! The handling is smooth thanks to its chassis that has been perfected over the years. Inside, you feel the quality of the materials that Nissan chose to use for their Maxima. Nothing looks like it is going to break in a couple of years and there are plenty of standard features to keep you satisfied. Drivers are also reporting that the optional navigation system is incredibly easy to use, much more so than what you find in the more luxurious vehicles.
SUV sales likely to drop due to gas price rising;
Thursday, December 30th, 2010SUVs sold at Honda Dealership St. Louis and other dealerships are likely to drop due to rising gas prices throughout the nation. Many automakers are predicting a drop in sales after gas prices rise, and over the past week gas prices increased to over $3.00 per gallon in many areas. There are a number of fuel efficient vehicles sold at Denver Honda Dealers such as the Honda Accord, however SUVs are mostly less fuel efficient than sedan models such as the Accord and many owners may end up trading in their SUVs for smaller vehicles, similar to what happened during the “Cash for Clunkers” program.
Ford Dealership NJ sells the Ford Fusion Hybrid which is a popular hybrid vehicle, and many may end up purchasing a hybrid vehicle as another way to save money at the pump. Fully electric vehicles are now being made available with the Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf being offered. The Volt has the ability to drive up to 35 miles on one charge, and the Nissan Leaf has a much greater range as this model is a fully electric vehicle whereas the Volt is powered by both an electric engine and a gasoline engine.
With such a variety of options available to car buyers, it seems that many may prefer to pick vehicle models that are more guaranteed to be less costly to drive once gas prices rise. It is predicted by many automakers that subcompact vehicles and other smaller vehicles will continue to be popular due to rising gas costs and uncertainly of gas prices. With crude oil prices reaching $91 per barrel recently and diesel prices also rising, the uncertainly of gas prices will likely drive car buyers to buy small vehicles, or at the very least smaller crossover SUVs that are more fuel efficient. Dealers are likely to keep large SUV and pickup stocks smaller out of caution to avoid overstocking these models.
10 Tips For Winter Driving!
Tuesday, December 28th, 2010
Even if you have the toughest truck that Dodge Pennsylvania Dealerships has to offer there are still a few safety tips you will want to follow during the cold winter months. Just like a lot of us have a tough time getting out of bed when it is freezing cold outside, your vehicle has to work harder than it is used to. If you want to prolong the life of your Rome Chevrolet vehicle, then following the ten tips listed below are a must. But, if you just picked up a brand new car from Chevrolet Dealers Pinconning recently then you shouldn’t have to worry about a lot of these maintenance tips.
1. Make sure you have a winter emergency roadside kit. In addition to typical roadside emergency kits, add in a few items: blanket, tennis shoes or boots, gloves, hat, socks, food, and water. You never know when you are going to get stuck in the middle of nowhere and need to survive in the cold weather until help arrives.
2. Check your battery. Most of us have the worst luck, and your battery will likely die at the worst possible time. The colder weather is tough on your battery, so test it if it is more than three years old.
3. Check your four-wheel drive system. You probably don’t use your four-wheel drive all that much so you won’t even know it is broken until it is too late. Plus, make sure everyone in your home knows how to operate the four-wheel drive system.
4. Look at your wipers and wiper fluid levels. Wiper blades only last about a year, and you will want to be able to see when it is snowing out. Also, pay the extra couple of dollars for the wiper fluid that comes with de-icer.
5. Ensure your heater and defroster work. Again, this goes back to the comfort and visibility thing. You don’t want your windows fogging up while you are driving and you don’t want to be freezing cold and shivering while driving!
6. Refer to your owner’s manual about oil. The colder it is, the thicker your oil is going to become. Some engines are rated for different types of oil depending on the current climate and temperature ranges.
7. Maintain proper tire inflation levels. Air is a gas and when it is cold, gas contracts. Plus, if your tires are underinflated then your traction will not be at its best because less of the tire will be touching the road surface.
8. Invest in snow tires. All-season tires are great, but snow tires offer far better traction. Plus, you can keep snow tires for a few seasons because you don’t keep them on your car year-round.
9. Test your antifreeze ratio. Ideally, the ratio is half antifreeze and half water. You need antifreeze to keep the water in your radiator from freezing during the winter weather. You can buy test strips at your local auto parts store to make sure your ratio is up to par.
10. Belts and hoses. The cold weather will make your belts and hoses go downhill faster than normal, especially if there are already cracks in your belts.
Be Green to Save Money
Sunday, December 26th, 2010
Do you remember the cash for clunkers program that took place last year? Well, there was some merit to the concept and idea behind the whole program. There are plenty of great new cars from Middletown Nissan that offer amazing fuel economy and reduced emissions into the environment. If more Americans will stop driving their broken and outdated vehicles then they would save money on fuel costs and reduce their carbon footprint. While we understand that not everyone can afford to upgrade to a new Nissan Cambridge car right at this moment, so there are some tips you can adhere to in the meantime to improve your commuting costs.
The best way to save money and reduce your carbon footprint is to take advantage of public transportation in your daily commute. Not only does this reduce the wear and tear on your current car, it reduces the amount of traffic on the roads. Play with that idea in your mind for a moment and if more people were using public transportation and removing their cars from the daily commute then traffic would flow faster and smoother every day. An alternative to this idea that ends up with almost as good of results is to carpool. You will get to know your employees and maybe they can even let you know when the Nissan Darien Rebate is being offered so you can upgrade your vehicle.
Finally the last couple ways to improve your fuel consumption on your daily commute is to look at how your driving habits are impacting your fuel mileage. Idling is the biggest waste of gas that all of us do. If you are going to be idling for more than one minute, just turn your car off until you will be moving again. Remember, when you are idling you are getting 0 mpg. Another helpful hint is to travel at slower speeds. Not only will your commute be safer with less chances of having a motor vehicle collision but you will increase your fuel miles per gallon.
What Will Your Warranty Get You?
Sunday, December 26th, 2010
Warranties are standard on almost every vehicle. Most of the time they help you, and they can save you a lot of money. You can find amazing warranties at Honda Dealerships Fredericksburg. However, the question is do you know what is on your warranty, or do you know what type of warranty you have. Do you know what type of parts can be replaced under your warranty? If you are buying a new vehicle you want to go to a dealership that will give you the best deal like Salisbury Honda Dealerships.
The most basic, but still the best warranty to have is a bumper to bumper warranty. This car warranty covers almost ever part of the engine. These warranties usually last round three years. They allow you to drive your vehicle with out babying it. This warranty is just about the best deal you can get with your new vehicle, and you can find this warranty on most new vehicles like the ones at Gaitherburg Acura Dealers.
The warranty that you can get is the power train warranty. This covers everything that makes your car go, but if your AC goes out you better roll down the windows. A warranty that does not cover every thing can some times leave you hanging, but this warranty still covers more then you need it to.

The last type of warranty is a Federally Mandated Warranty. This warranty will get you about 10% of what you need if you are lucky. The warranty covers only certain parts of the emissions system. This below level warranty also covers your air bags, and seat belts as safety features.
However, the best thing to do is to keep in mind that every warranty has limits. These limits are set by a time line, or by miles. Which ever one expires first does not matter. If you go over your limits your warranty is no longer their what so ever.
Before your warranty is up go over your vehicle. Figure out if anything is wrong with it, and if there is something wrong with it look at your warranty. If the problem with your vehicle is covered get it fixed before it cost you more money then you want it to.
How Safe is Your Car?
Thursday, December 16th, 2010When ever you want to buy a safe and reliable vehicle make sure go to a great dealership like Richmond Hyundai Delerships.
The question most people ask them selves about there vehicle is how safe is my car? Every vehicle is built to different standards so you need to know where to look, and the best places to look are at reliable dealerships like Seattle Kia. The Internet and your vehicle can tell you everything you want to know about safety.
When ever some one buys a new or used car they look into safety. Most of the time they are just happy to see a high crash test rating, and most of the time that would be good enough. However, their are times that you need to know if your vehicle is safe enough, and if your vehicle has been in a crash you need to take it to a body shop like Richmond Body Shop.
Remember that if you own an older model vehicle that safety features might be few and far between. Older model cars where made to a different set of standards. If you want to find out all of the safety features your vehicle has try researching it.

By researching your make and model of the car you can come up with a list of features, but their are certain draw backs. If you bought your car used you might not know the full safety history of your vehicle, or if some of the safety features are working. Keep in mind to look up the history of a vehicle before you buy it.
If you are looking to buy a vehicle that gives you choices. You can normally what pick and choose what safety features you want or don’t want on your vehicle. Try to choice safety features you will use. If you live in a hilly area curve control is a great safety feature for you, but it is not a good safety feature for any one who lives on flat land.
The last thing you need to keep in mind is vehicle repair. When ever you are dealing with safety you are dealing with maintenance. Vehicle maintenance is there to make sure that your safety features stay up and running so you don’t end up hurt.
Dog Lovers Rejoice!

When it comes time for pet owners to buy a new vehicle, they might want to head on over to NJ Ford Dealers if they prefer to buy a domestic vehicle. A recent report by AAA shows that 9 out of 10 vehicles on their list of best vehicles for pet owners are all import brands, with the only exception being the Ford Escape Hybrid; you can test drive one at any Vermont Ford dealership. People who own pets need a vehicle to accommodate additional needs that other consumers won’t have. Interestingly enough, the Soul from Wallingford Kia made the top ten list as well as a plethora of other import vehicles.
Starting out with the more expensive vehicles include the BMW 3-Series Wagon and the Volvo XC60. Both sell in the mid $30,000 range and offer consumers some luxury upgrades that make loading and unloading your furry friend an easy task. Plus, both have great safety ratings! The wide doors and stylish exterior are helpful for other driving tasks, too.
In the crossover or small SUV class we find the Toyota Venza, Subaru Forester, Ford Escape Hybrid, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Honda Element. These larger vehicles offer tons of room and the easy driving car like nature is favored by many drivers. The price range for these vehicles can vary, and it really depends on the options that you choose to upgrade to. Many of them come with rubber mats or optional cargo mat upgrades so that you can protect your interior against mud, dirt, and fur.
Looking for something a bit smaller and you might be interested in the Nissan Cube, Mini Clubman, or Kia Soul. These three offer amazing fuel economy, surprisingly low selling prices, and tons of features. Plus, their cute boxy shapes are trendy and will stand out among the crowd of station wagons at your favorite dog park!
2011 Journey Improves Dodge’s Reputation
Monday, November 29th, 2010
The Dodge Journey first debuted in 2008 and there have been some up and down moments regarding its fate. The competition from Chevrolet Aiken has had great sales since the safety ratings and cargo room of their Traverse have continued to increase. There have been questions raised regarding the lifespan of Payne Chevrolet since GM filed bankruptcy a few years back, but the determination is there. The same thing is true for Chrysler and their affiliate brands. Now that the Dodge reputation is back on the rise, their entire line up should pose adequate amounts of competition for Chevrolet Vermillion. The 2011 Dodge Journey seems to have retained only its best attributes and improved upon the rest for the latest model.
The exterior has improved, but only slightly. You still see the same station-wagon inspired exterior design mixed with SUV influences. The main improvements that Dodge made was to get rid of the plastic bulky control features on the inside of the vehicle. No one was sad to see the cheap plastic interior replaced with metallic trims and improved overall feel in the quality department of the materials used. Some drivers are likely to complain that the Journey has its front seat passengers sitting a little too close for comfort to the dash, but at least it looks better now!
If you opt for the higher trim levels, then you get the convenience of an LCD screen for navigation and other functions. The climate control knobs aren’t too complicated and are placed in a thoughtful location on the dash. The steering wheel is large and makes you feel a bit more powerful while you are behind the wheel. This new and improved midsized SUV has a little bit of everything to offer young families on the go. The 2011 Dodge Journey is a fantastic alternative to buying a dreaded minivan and the safety ratings will soon be released.
Domestics Deliver In the Crossover Class!
Friday, November 19th, 2010
When it comes time for you to consider buying an SUV, you should look at the crossover types. They offer the functionality of an SUV with the ease of a car. Savannah Honda Dealers have had a lot of success with their Honda CR-V sales, but what about if you need more cargo room? When you head on over to Flagstaff Dodge Dealers, make sure you test drive a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The car-like driving experience that the Grand Cherokee offers makes it ultra popular with young families. Another quality choice from domestic auto makers is available from Ford Edmonton; the 2011 Ford Edge. While several of the import models have a lot to offer, we want to focus on three of the domestic beauties that will meet all of your cargo carrying needs.
The 2011 GMC Terrain (pictured above) is sometimes hard to distinguish from the popular Chevrolet Equinox, but the cargo carrying capacity that the Terrain offers drivers can’t be beat. Not only does the Terrain offer the best fuel economy in its class, this crossover SUV has a rugged exterior appearance combined with the comfort and driving experience of a small passenger car. One of the best features is the power liftgate, which will help make loading and unloading the back of your Terrain a breeze.
Another great choice from our domestic auto makers is the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Chrysler made a smart move by upgrading their popular SUV to incorporate more of the car-like features drivers are asking for. There is always the option of upgrading to a larger and more powerful engine, but the handling will always be smooth with tight suspension. Lastly is the 2011 Ford Edge. This near-luxury crossover comes with plenty of cargo space to make your life easier. When you go to load and unload your cargo, you will appreciate the lower ground clearance that makes the entire process not as difficult.
